Reputable trans shop

Kinda new to the state and need to get a 47RE rebuilt, who does everyone recommend? I'm in Franklin so prefer western part of the state if possible.

Going into a 96 4x4 with 12v cummins. Needs to be able to tow heavy and hold 400-500 HP.

He's Raleigh, & changed jobs, last I heard. I hear "Big Jims" in Charlotte/Pineville, is good, but that's also long distance.

I gotta be honest, Olee Poole is the only person that builds my diesel transmissions. And has been for 10+ years. That being said we've heard great things from our customers about mighty transmission.

Olee Poole will do a good job; not sure how far but Garmon Diesel in GA does fine as well.

i just had my transmission built by a shop in Waynesville. its still holding up. also there is a shop in Asheville that builds a lot of transmissions for friends that race that hold up great, just didn't have time to leave my truck over there with him for a while.

There used to be an old guy back behind Dale Earnhart Chevy in Newton/Conover area that was pretty good. Was cheap too. Some of the locals may know of him. It I sure can't remember the guy's name. Haven't dealt with him in years.
