Resealing old gas tank?

I can't find any shops around here any more that will boil out and re-coat a gas tank, so I'm going to have to do it myself.
I know there are some people out there who love the POR kit, but I've also read some horrible reviews online as well, enough to cause me to look at other options. 2 I've found that seem to be well reviewed are the Caswell kit, and the KBS kit. I am wondering if anyone has used any of these kits personally, and can vouch for their ease of application, and especially duration of coating. I don't want to do this again for a long long time. This is the one I'm leaning toward, but would love to hear opinions on any and all...

Thanks,

I am planning on sealing several tanks and was going to use the KBS kit due to I have a vendor next door.
A few tips I got was that this job is definately a 2 person job. Also to put a couple hand fulls of good sized washed gravel inside and shake real good before even starting to rid of most of the scaling rust. Small rocks can lodge so be selective and use 1"+. Also, be sure to insert a wire (or wires) into any small orfice before sealing so it won't clog. Besides that, they all seem to do the same thing. KBS kit was slightly cheaper last I checked. Hopefully I don't get what I pay for but I feel POR is over rated. They spend ALOT on advertising.

Last note is to consider a poly tank if there's one available for your application. Prices are way down right now and will never rust. But easy to bust so...

And also I've heard the toxisity of the gas tank kits is pretty high on the scale. Have a plan on ridding of any excess chemicals.

Keep us informed! Never seen a write up on this before either? Just going with what I've heard...

Good luck!

Trucks did a segment on their show a few weeks ago. Seems like a bit PITA to me. I'd be afraid of the coating coming off and clogging up everything. I'd be too lazy to do it so I'd just get another tank, lol. Good luck with it and let us know how it turns out!

coating

used a tank coating kit from the local parts house cant remember which one. worked good for about three years and then started clogging the filter up. took it up to king radiator and had them boil it and coat it.
