I'm literally scanning somebody right now, seems fine.
We still have no idea why it didn't like your brain....must have been a division-by-zero kind of problem...:beer:

Well, I spoke too soon.
We made it about halfway through, and the scanner threw an error (diferen tfrom before).
So, our scanners have a water cooling system keeping liquid heliem, well, liquid, which keeps the magnet cool (it's a superconductor). Aparently been having trouble w/ the pump. Turns out, it got just warm enough that a safety sensor shut it down... the pump was actually being fixed during the scan, but it still took awhile to cool down again so it would unlock.

I have a plate and four screws in my neck
I have eight wires that were put in my chest to hold it together after open heart surgery

I did this test. I went through the MRI, and well, nothing was ripped out. Nothing heated up(that I am aware of)
So, House though entertaining, is far from factual
 
is this compensation worth driving from raleigh for?

sounds like a cool experience, and both me and my girlfriend are interested.

My brother manages the ones at Duke. He did mention something about new units that were bigger. I'll check with him to see if they have been installed yet.

FYI, he's told me about some hair raising incidents with o2 tanks and other stuff.
 
are the tests still going on? i tried to PM you and ur box is full.....i live right down the road from winston salem and i am very interesed in doing this just to see what its like and to hopefully use what i learn from the tests for something....pm me if you would and i would liek to discuss details with you

Well, for the study I'm doing, total compensation could be up to $170. However since it pretty much requires multiple trips, you do the math.
Plus you have to be over 21. Sorry Cas....

damn....that 21 thing mess's me up......i made some dumb decisions in high school and wanted to see if i really had holes in my brain........lol oh well, guess ill hafta wait
