Return Chromebook plus? touchscreen issue

So I jumped on the bandwagon for my personal laptop as all it is used for is this. I wanted the stylus of the new chromebook plus so I got it as soon as it came out.
It has picked up a issue that seems to be getting more and more common. The stylus will still work great and it has programming from what I understand to not pick up your hand if it rest on the computer. The issue is once the stylus is up it will not pick up your finger.

I tried a powerwash(reboot), tried the guest account and no go.

Samsung has sent a label to return to china and I will be without for 15 days or better.

So use as is and have no finger print and wait for a patch to be written? OR
Send back and wait and use dead battery laptop?

Best buy told me to gent bent as I was 7 days past the 30 day mark and I did not get the added warranty
 
Tell Best Buy to go fuck themselves and ask the manager to take care of it in the name of customer goodwill. Tell them you want a replacement, not your money back.
