Rhino line VS Armor

What are the pros and cons of rhino line (or like material) VS buying armor?

line-x,rhino line, spray on liner, will scrape off on rocks. Armor is 3/16 or 1/4 steel or aluminum, and will generally take the beating instead of your body panels, or at least strengthen them, make it to where any damage can be rattle canned over/beaten back out.

Rhino line(or other linings) doesn't protect your body from anything. All it does is fade in the sunlight and hold dirt and generally looks like crap. Never seen a rig lined on the outside that i thought looked good.
