Riding on the coast

Taking the family on vacation to Oak Island in a few weeks. Thinking bout towing the ole cj down and doing some riding! any good places to ride? I hear of Carolina Beach having access to ride on the beach! Thanks for any tips or places to go!

Take the Southport Ferry to Fort Fisher, there is riding at Fort Fisher

You will be less than an hour from carolina backwoods OHV park. Its mostly rutted out mud trails so strap your pressure washer on the trailer cuz they got a hose you can use or did when I was there a couple years ago. Nice guy who runs the place and close to everything.

Last I knew there was riding both at fort fisher and carolina beach. You have to pay for both. You can't expect to get wild and no riding on the dunes as well as a slow speed limit. The nicest thing to me is you don't have to carry the cooler n junk and you can go to less populated areas.
