Rim size ?

Installed a 4" bds lift on my 80 cj-7 with day star 1" body lift. Tire and rim time. BDS recommends a max 15x8 with 3.5 " BS rim. The tire manufacturer recomends a 8.5" to 10" rim. The tire will be 34"x12.50". What width rim should I go with?

8" it will help protect the bead from rocks. It will also keep dirt and mud out of the bead. A lot of slow leaks come from dirt in the beads.
