Has anyone on here ever been ripped off on Gun Broker?

I ordered 3 pieces from a guy on there, AR30 stock, Buffer tube and an adapter from my old bolt on stock to the newer style thread on Armalite stock.

After nearly 3 weeks of excuses of why he couldn't ship my parts, they finally come yesterday and the adapter is missing. He claims it was in the box, it clearly wasn't. The box wasn't torn open or anything silly like that. On top of that the Factory New as he described it Stock has tool mark gouges all over the spanner nut. (see pics) He also claims this happened during shipping, BS!

I do a little digging on the adapter and call the manufacturer that he claimed made it, they say they have never made such a piece. So in my mind he never had the part and had no intention of shipping it in the first place.

Here's where I'm at fault. This guy only had the Stock listed on gun broker. After I inquired about the stock, he offered the adapter and buffer tube. I knew I needed the adapter, wasn't sure on the tube. I trusted he had the parts and paid him for them via USPS Money Order. Because the adapter and tube weren't mentioned in the sale ad, Gunbroker won't do a thing, I get that, I should have known better, but I've always had good luck on Gun Broker.

Gun broker will not let me file an official fraud claim on the damaged stock until Feb. 14th. Which I plan to do. The problem is, there is a 100 dollar deductible on a 220.00 dollar Stock. I guess some money back is better than non?

Anyone have any experience with USPS and Fraud claims with them? Worth it? It was fully insured.

I'm sure I'm missing some details, that's the long and short of it. Any suggestions on where to go next with this? Any suggestions are appreciated?

Thanks,

Dave
