Road info needed

I plan on taking a trip up to Mnt City this weekend, and with the weather stations calling for more snow, I need to know road conditions. I travel 221N up to Boone, and then take the by-pass over to 421, and then on into Mnt City.

I would love to have someone along that route who can tell me how the roads are and so on, now, and for the future.

I wouldn't be so worried, but 1, I don't know how well they get on the roads and clear them and treat them, and 2, I am in a 2WD hauler, and my son will be in a 2WD truck with a trailer.

Made the drive from Boone to Banner Elk and back today and the road was just wet. They did a better job of staying on top of things this time. Little accumulation in the medians but nothing to worry about.
