road trip gun question

I am leaving for FL tonight.I will be going through SC,Ga and into FL.Anyone know the gun laws?I know in nc you can carry one without a permit if it is visable.But don't know about the other states.Anyone know?It a long trip at night by myself and I would like to take it just in case.Thanks

No CCW permit then?. Better read up the details of each state you'll be in, there are a few quirks.

edit: oh, and get your permit already...it's super-easy, cheap enough...and pisses off the anti's to have another legal, permitted citizen on the books.
