does anyone know how to tell if a rockwell is ball and claw or u-joint style without taking it apart?

Get a couple rags for later, turn it hard one way, stick you're hand in there. Boots usually got a good rip in it somewhere, you can feel the u joint cap and circlip or not. Then start wiping all that grease off your hand.
