how much does a rear rockwell weigh, and also how much for a front. I found a set and i'm trying to figure out if my trailer can handle the weight or not.

Also, what's a fair price to pay for a set. the front looks like it might need to be blasted and repainted but the rear is still pretty nice

weight

not sure of the weight but this may help. I had a guy who know his stuff tell me it weight 50lbs more then a built 60 if the rock has a pinion break. hope it helps.

50 lbs is a under estimate id say... plus if you are getting them, and they are stock... you can add ~100lb to the axle for the drum brake stuff that will be on it...

As far as price goes, there are a few in the forsale section to give an idea on the current rate... but Ive seen em go anywhere from $500-$1200 for fronts and ~$250 max for a rear (they have become about useless with everyone running 4WS)

ok well i don't know how much a built 60 weighs, and these are stock with drum brakes. So how much weight, i can tell its going to be more than 150...

Yes a rear rockwell weighs 750 lbs and a front is close to 1100lbs I think.

From what I remember, without wheels & tires, a steering rock is around 850lbs. if your trailer can hold 1500, you should be OK with one front and one rear.

well it turns out 2 of the rears are what i believe to be the 5ton, and the other rear and front are kinda rusty and it may not be the u-joint one. O well, i'll probably pass on these but thank you for the help guys
