So i've been searching for a couple hours now and can't seem to come up with the info I'm looking for...

I know more than a few of you are running rockwells...

What's the max turn angle (in degrees) on a rock axle?

Aside from the steering stop (say if you were to take it off)...What binds to limit the steering angle? The shaft or the knuckle on the housing?

I've read the boots start tearing even if you run the steering stops in...i'm not too worried about boots...and don't clutter up this thread with the boot/no boot war...you need boots unless you make other sealing provisions...

I've got a line on some rocks...turn angle is the only thing holding me back. And don't tell me just to run rear steer. This rig needs to turn with front steer only. Although it would have rear steer.

Never measured mine, but the u-joints can turn sharper than the ball & claw style.

I was told you can run the steering stops in flush with the big lock nuts and that helps a bunch, that it would require a 10" ram if you do that..

It's no worse than a toyota axle.

but with the rear steer, I haven't needed more steering angle so far.
