iam looking at getting some rod ends for my drag ling and tie rods, both companies look like they offer a good product. i just dont know if one is better than the other. the barnes end are a bit cheaper but i would rather have a quality product.

Barnes out lasted my ruffstuff by far. We beat on them for 2 years of racing and went to replace but not needed.

Running Barnes stuff on the one ton s10, seem to be a great product. I haven't had any experience with Ruffstuff, although dans stuff is usually also top notch. I would say go with Barnes bc he's local. Just my .02

that is what keeps me buying from barnes, he is less than 2hrs from me and shipping couldnt be any faster. i one their site and a discount email from ruffstuff showed up. so that got me looking at there stuff.

Running 1.25 and 7/8 Muffstuffs on mine. Glad to see people are having good luck with Barnes joints. Now I know where to buy replacements.

Barnes4wd is maybe 1 mile from my house, so obviously Brad and I hang out and chew the fat frequently. We have had discussions about this exact topic before. I recommend you to ask him for answers to your questions and you'll understand why his rod ends are superior.

Just out of curiosity, does Barnes put their joints through the same cryo process as RS?

@Barnes 4wd maybe he can help here.

I just remembered I could do that after I was reading a thread someone was tagged in. Probably should have done that from the start....

I bought the barnes hiems for my buggy because he is on the board and everything I've gotten from him has been great. I have his joints on my steering and theyre still tight after a few years of full hydro and 37-38s

You save a lot of money buying his "kits"

I don't have any personal experience with them, but I built a suspension for a customer using Barnes rod ends on the uppers and Enduro joints on the lowers. For the most part, all good quality rod ends look and feel about the same. However, the Enduro joints were ridiculously impressive. Fit, finish, and build quality were second to none.

Ian going to make a barnes order this evening, everything he has sent me has been top shelf so I feel sure the rod ends are as well

Thanks for all the input.
