Ok. The taco is looking rough these days, so I figured why not impress the ladies with a new paint job. Im almost sure Im going the roll on route, but havent decided between the boat paint and the rustoleum stuff. If any of you have experience with this stuff let me know, ill gladly take any advice. Im either going with pink or blue.....havent decided yet. The only reason I would go with pink is so i can get a windshield banner that says "Pink Taco"

Share some pics of roll-on jobs if ya got em too.
Thanks
Josh

I painted mine with a roller, rustoleum hammered. IT's tough! I like it a lot. Biggest issue is finding any color other than the black or Siler(I used the silver). I did see that Fastenal carried some, and the guy said he could order it.

I'd never thought about hammered.......ill have to look into that. Heres a good thread on it......a long one, but a good one.

If you have a compressor I would spray it. Not because it will look so much better or that it is the right way to do it. I would spray it because I am lazy. All you have to do is mask everything and then spray. With a roller you have to worry about getting into tight spots. I sprayed rustoleum on my frame and it looks great but most of all it only took about 30 minutes to spray 2 coats (with drying time inbetween).

I would spray it to as it is definitely easier and saves a ton of time. And as stated it does get into those small spots where a roller won't. It will definitely look better if that matters at all.

Thats funny right there. But, its not worth drivin a pink truck for. :gay: If you paint your truck pink, you will never live it down. I promise!:shaking:

When I redid my jeep I ended up spraying it. I actually coughed up the extra cash and went with an automotive single stage though. I think the difference was $30 for rustoleum or $60 for automotive paint with a metallic. The finish of the spray and the simplicity of the process is what got me to spray it. Plus I wanted some practice at spraying. Good luck, I want to see what you end up with.
