The cage spreader bar behind the seats in my 4Runner make getting into the back seat a real pain in the butt.
I've come to accept that it isn't going to be used for any serious 4wheeling or racing in the near future.
I'd like to cut the ends of the bar just inside the interior and add fittings so it can be replaced if needed.
Any suggestions?

That's perfect!

.... Now I just need to find in 1.5" 🤪

For future reference there are lots of options here
As luck would have it I don't know whether it's 0.095 or 0.120 wall so I gutill have to cut and measure first

If you find the SXS ones, they have both bolts on the same side. Just makes it easier to get bolts out in the future. I’ll find you a link.

Edit for link-
I’ve never used that company before, but I have a similar pair in the shop now.

I like the idea of having both bolts on the same side for convenience, but the flat surface on some of those places 100% of any stress on just the bolts.
