ROTD

Well that is certainly a video that ended too soon! I really wanted to see the hoedown showdown.
No kidding. This party sucks.

It’s like a commercial during the best part of the movie and you end up doing something else. Or what’s worse is they edited the 1.25 hr movie to fit in a 3 hr slot packed full of commercials and you sat through the commercial and when it comes back on they frigging skipped it!

A Charger vs. an Altima

we need David Attenbough narrating

Can't make it up.....there was a 2010ish Altima with a blank piece of cardboard in place of a license plate and a busted front bumper acting a fool on my drive home yesterday.

Wonder why society allows such bafoonery to live amongst us?
What choice do we have?

Unfortunately that start doesn't sound very easy these days.
Have you followed the AI fueled arrest and extradiction of the TN woman to SD for check fraud....in a state she has never stepped foot in?

Wild stuff. Lady in TN who has never been on an airplane and lives pretty close to pvoerty in her late 50s/early 60s. is picked up extradited to SD and left to sit in jail for 6 months. Never getting a hearing.
ACLU gets invovled SD says, ok you can go and turns her out in South Dakota in January in a snow storm. They took her cellphone in TN and didnt transport it with her. Said she couldnt make long distance phone calls from the PD. Just left her out in the cold.

Have not heard about that. Sounds like the ACLU actually did their job on that one.

Grandmother jailed for 6 months after AI error linked her to a crime in a state she had never even visited, lawyers say

"Lipps’ arrest is the eighth documented wrongful arrest in the United States tied to facial recognition, according to IBS Times. Without additional verification, critics warn, a single algorithmic match can have life-altering consequences."

i hope a good attorney picks up here case and make her very wealthy....

that has nothing to do with 'coralling' the 25 IQ charger and altima drivers that have zero care for you or your families well being as they act a fool in front of cameras with no shame or fear of repurcussions

Oh contraire, it does.
Who would you suggest is going to go after them?
Most reasonable people would say law enforcement. If you have an alternate idea I’m interested and would gladly listen. But assuming law enforcement is the correct answer to go ‘corralling’ that would require a trained competent group. Something that’s sorely lacking in this country. People have no fear of repercussion because of decades of incompetent LEO nationwide.

The underbelly is a little dirtier than most want to accept - but trace the dollars. In theory law enforcement exists to protect and serve. In reality they are a revenue collection agency. Stopping and ticketing an unlicensed driver or a car with no tags - chances are that bum never pays the fine maybe even spends a few days in county for an outstanding warrant. That costs money and produces none. Instead it’s more profitable to set a speed trap up in an upper middle class neighborhood and get some folks going 5 over. UMC will pay the fine. You don’t go after the affluent, they have connections and will make your life difficult. You don’t go after the bottom feeders they can’t or won’t pay.

Follow the dollars….it ain’t about your safety or enforcing laws it’s about collecting taxes

add to this the "court costs" and you plainly can see the revenue stream....

In New Hanover County, the costs associated with traffic court can vary, but generally, the average court costs and fines for speeding tickets range from $188 to $250. This includes $188 in court costs and $30 to $50 for the speeding fine itself. In New Hanover County, the District Attorney’s Office prosecutes over 50,000 traffic cases each year.

fast math....
50,000 (x) $188 = $9,400,000
