I am installing the rough country long arm upgrade and it requires a 17/32 drill bit to drill through the frame to mount the brackets. The problem is this is a specialty bit and no stores carry them. I would have to order the bit and its pretty expensive. I have thought of drilling it out with a 1/2 inch bit and working it out just a little bit. Has anyone else ran into this?

i did and went and spent the $25 for the bit, if you have a store in your area that specializes in fasteners and such they should carry it

i may have a 17/32 drill bit (i will let you know tomarrow ) & will sell it to you for $15 shipped if you want it but if it was me i would drill it out to a 1/2'' & reem it out (carefulley) & let it ride it should be ok

thats what i was thinking, its already bolted up through the skid plate and I think these bolts are for extra support. I think getting them really close would be alright

Yeah that would also work. What size bolts would I need to get to fit as snug as the 1/2 inch bolts were gone fit through the 17/32 hole.
