I'm looking for a long arm lift. Either the rough country 6" long arm kit or the rusty's 5.5" long arm kit. Before people start saying Clayton's and rubicon express.. Those aren't for me. I know the rough country make durable lifts because I had their 6" x-flex short arm kit that I put threw hell. Lol I like to look at them like a high point pistol... Ugly bulky and heavy... But very cheap and very realiable. But never had a rusty's and don't know much about there products, so I'm just looking for pros and cons and comparisons of the 2 lifts. Thanks for the input!!

Clayton's seriously. But also check out ironman4x4fab.

Lol I wish.. But not realistic for me to get Clayton's.. That rusty's kit or rough country kit is about all I can afford.. I know everyone says well just save your money and wait until you can afford it.. But, if I were to do that.. I would be riding stock for.... EVER lol

Personally, I've had better luck with Rough Country stuff rather than Rusty's. Although I've never used either of their long arms.

I'm running IronMan4x4 adjustable short arms (upper and lower) on my 95 XJ and fixed lowers on my 92 XJ. Very happy with them on both XJ's.

Ive ran the rough county long arms a few years ago. The bushings went oug pretty quick. But they did upgrade them since ive ran them. Worst case is replace with 1.25 heims. I beat the piss out of them. T-frady beat on them, and now a 3rd guy is beating on them. For the money, not bad.

Yeah I did notice when I had the short arm kit that the bushings did wear out fast.. But they were the older ones as well. But it went to hell and back and never have me any real issues. But some one had brought the rusty's to my attention and I couldn't find any real reviews about rusty's so I'd figured I'd post here and see what people had to say. So far it's rough country for this guy

having run rustys, skyjacker, and rough country on xjs id go with rough country over rustys. skyjacker is a pretty decent ride imo...

I would have to say Rusty's. I have they're fully adjustable control arms and I love them. They're definitely heavy duty and reliable which is what I need for my daily driver

Call around to some of the vendors on here.
You could possibly have a better suspension built for a comparable price.

X2. Novacayne75 built long arm with a cool 3 pieces cross member, he used Rough Country springs and shocks, a sleeved track bar and beefy mount and a sleeved tie rod, the heins are big as pop cans. Its stronger works better and was roughly the same price. While he was there he stretched it a little. 2" back and 1" front. I have a build thread on here if you wanna check it out.

The rustys crossmember sucks!!! It's a one piece.
