Thanks to my new extended A-arms and living in a socialist state, I need to add fender flares to cover the wheels on 80s 4Runner.
I don't like the typical Bushwackers, too pricy and I've seen them break when rubbed.

Has anybody used these rubber fender flares, or something similar, from Pacer on a Toy?

I'm hoping I could make use of the inner fender liner mounts that are already on the underside of the metal fenders.

From what I can tell, there are 2 kinds, they either mount by srewing "up" from the underside, or you drill right into the side of the fender.
I like the notion of a wire running inside the edge lip so they can be bent/held in place and re-formed if needed.

Thanks for the ideas. I need a good 3" coverage or so. Ideally 4" but thats getting pretty wide. I generally prefer the look of the downward curve of pre-formed rubber, rather than just flat horizontal against the fender, if that can be avoided.
Interesting sources though.
I know people also sometimes use lawn edging.

God damn those things are 80 fucking bucks?!?!?
For 4, yes. Luckily you can get 2, which is what I need, for *only* $40.
Seen the price of Bushwackers?
