Rubber Fenders

Some years ago I saw a Vehicle trailer where the metal fenders had been removed and a flap of rubber had been used instead. It was genius in that a wide track vehicle need not worry about the strength of the fender to roll over.

I’m looking to do the same, but I’m not sure what the rubber sheeting was, or what to source for it. It was much like rubber mud flaps, rubber reinforced with fiber strand. Guess I could get some mud flaps and cut them down… but does anyone know what I should search/source for this?

Find a sand/gravel pit and see if they have any leftover conveyor belt they need to get rid of. Some are smooth and some have chevrons on them depending on the grade the conveyor is at and the material it’s handling but they should have some “old” stuff laying around.
