rubber runflats- do I remove them or not?

I run the 24bolt style rubber run flats on my road jeep because they were in there when I bought the combo. I imagine it will only be good to remove them for road use. thats 120# of rotational mass to get spinning / slow down. I run these at a pretty high pressure, and I have 'off road only' tire/wheel combos so airing down is not in the cards. will that weak 16.5 bead cause me issues? will they hold air without these in there?

are they worth removing whole? or just cut them out? are they inherently 'balancing' these tires?

thoughts?

They're heavy as crap, covered in grease, and don't do anything to help balance the tires ...I'd ditch them. 16.5s hold air fine, just like 17.5s and 22.5s. Lots of those on the roads with no beadlocks.

For street only, pull em out. For offroad only, pull em out and go with a low profile insert. For a bug out vehicle, leave em in. As far as removing, leave em whole, and use an engine crane straddling the tire with a strap/chain around the run flat. Takes less than 5min each once you get the hang of it.

I strapped the tires to a tree and put a tow strap around the run flat to pull them out.
