I had a fuel cell made and just the rubber o-ring won't keep the gas from leaking out around the sending unit. I looked at o'reilllys but didn't see any kind of sealant that I can stick inbetween the sending unit and the fuel cell. It is also made of aluminum if that matters.. Thanks in advance..

I've used Permatex #2 non-hardening on a poly fuel tank before and it worked great for what you're describing.

Is your tank vented or building pressure?

Had the same problem for a while before I really went crazy with some stuff that I found at Autozone. I think it's called Gas Leak or Gas Stop...something like that. It's some nasty stuff that seems to work for a while. Mine now has both the gas leak stuff and rtv in problem areas. My fuel cell hates me.
