your truck, your choice. PERSONALLY, I'd leave them on it.

Like they said, it's your truck. Why should you care what anybody else thinks? And why are those hidious things still hanging off the side of an otherwise nice truck?!? ;) Seriously, though, if that was mine, the boards and bedrails would be on craigslist by now. I'd also be looking at dropping it a couple of inches, not much, just enough to help fill the wells without compromising towing capacity. I'd also think about dropping the lights off the roof, too, but that's just me. Nice rig, though! Looks really clean!

I hate tube steps like a mofo...But SOME trucks CAN make running boards look good....and your truck is one of them..Leave them.. there clean and make the truck classy looking in my opinion.

It's a 2wd tow rig, not a big gay lifted truck with stacks. I like them. If it was a big gay truck, they would need to go, IMO.

I personally don't like running boards/steps on any vehicle, but, like all the other post it's your truck you have to make the final decision. Weigh the good and bad then make up your mind, that's what I usually do.

Truck looks good, if you didn't like it you wouldn't have bought it.

You should put a body kit on it, lower it and start racing it.... but in all seriousness, leave em on. It doesnt look bad. Then when ya hit a blow out or something in the road on the highway the boards will get tore up instead of the body of the truck... Their like an additional mud flap...

Do you use them? If yes, keep them, if not, do whatever you think looks best. I usually don't like them, but that truck pulls them off well. Do they pose a clearance problem where you tow? I have seen lots of those running boards bent up where they have high centered over a ditch or terrace in a field, but you probably won't have that truck in those situations. That's a clean looking truck by the way.

I'd keep them as well. They look really good on this truck and dress it up. If you removed them, it'd just be another truck without much character.

I hate the look of running boards/steps.

Running boards, at least to me, don't add character. They just cause rust. Bolt-on chrome and diamond plate don't do it for me either, though. Plenty of people like it. Hell, JC Whitney built an empire on it. But if you need steps, I'd personally rather see a nice set of tubes or drop-downs. My Sub had boards WAAAY back in the day. My Dad had a front tire blow out. It tore up the board. Rolled up the front like a sardine can. When he took them off, he noticed some rust beginning on the rockers where they bolted up. Dealt with that and left the boards off, and it looked a ton better. Things like that just seem to trap water, road salt, and grit behind them and accellerate corrosion.

Do you haul crap around in the bed alot? B/c there ARE times when it's nice to have that step under the bed to step up on and lean over or jump in.
Tubes look cooler, but if they are wet/muddy, forget using it as a step, they're dangerous.
But if they have the potential for causing rust/problems down the road, I'd keep an eye on that at least.
You could also get some fly ladder-style sq tube panels made that allow water to flow and provide a nice step, but then you're getting into $$.

Thanks i thank i will leave them for now and i'm taking the tubes off the bed this weekend. If anyone wants them let me know.I'll sell them for a low price. Thanks again for the info.
