rust on gears

my lovley fj project used axle pieces some rust on a few r+p teeth, any luck running?

If it's just light surface rust and not pitted, clean them up and use them.

i think they might be a little noisy, going to try it anyway, they arn't that hard to set.

It's an offroad vehicle, not a racecar or jet engine. Clean em up as good as you can and things will self clearance.

I shoved a welded toy rear in that had been sitting in the sand outside my shop for 3 years. washed it out good, ran it for "trail use only." That turned into about 300 miles of road use when I loaned my trailer to a broken jeeper. I rocked it for at least another 1500 miles on the road with no issue. Run it
