I'm lazy and I don't feel like changing the trans fluid in the V10 Class A (34').

Anybody know any places in Raleigh/Cary that can do a trans fluid change? Most of the places I have called so far its too big for them to do and I really don't want to go to camping world.

Take it to Ford dealer. :D

Believe it or not, Gregory Poole services RVs

I actually called Crossroads Ford since they have some huge bays, but they won't do a class A. Stupid Ford!

I saw Gregory Poole, but was confused if they did non cat engines, but now I read it and I see they can do ford as well it looks like. I'll have to call them up.

And, most medium duty truck service centers will service an RV, even with the V10. It may take them a little longer to get parts because they may not stock the part but most are capable and willing to help.
In a pinch, if there is a Loves around, they can work on it but can get pricey.

Stone truck parts and Fleetpride, both in garner, service medium and heavy trucks in addition to parts.

FYI - Gregory Poole shop labor rate is IIRC $145/hour.
Same goes for Cummins Atlantic Sales and Service South Region.
But that would be all the way out to Kenly for you.

Western Branch does a lot of RV work and is the Allison dealer.

Gregory Poole did the ring and pinion in my parents motor home. Cummins in Kenly sent us to them when they couldn't do it. No complaints on their work or customer service.

Fleet pride = we don't work on RV's when I called. Gregory Poole is giving me a formal quote, but I may just do it myself with the price they just estimated.

Edit about 300 in labor probably to do it, plus an hour of my time to even drive there. Guess i'm going to just do it myself most likely.

At $150 labor rate, that’s 2 hours of shop time plus misc shop supplies. Seems about right. Not cheap but it’s how it goes with RVs sometimes.

Oh I'm not complaining about their charge, 2 hours is fair for shop rate.

I'll just charge my dad 100/hr and do it myself though :D he will think he is getting a great deal!

From what I found when I munched a wheel bearing, the closest Ford dealers that service motorhome chassis are in Fayetteville and Greensboro. Fayetteville did mine (under warranty).

Guy that does my cars does the oil and stuff on the Winnebago, but he has to do it on ramps in the parking lot. But it's kind of a favor since we get a bunch of cars serviced there. I always plan my service for spring and fall so it's not too hot or too cold out there.

I wish I could find a set of mobile column lifts that were affordable.
