?'s about installing a 94 dana 30 into a 98

i have a 98 jeep grand cherokee, and the the front carrier busted,and i havnt been able to find a complete dana 30 for my 98 with 3.73 gears, but i was able to find a 95 jeep grand with a dana 30 front and 3.73 gears, will the 94 interchange into the 98 without any problems? also if there is any differances could someone please lmk what they are,so i will know before i purchase a front axle that i cant use. thanks in advance for any help you can give

I can say for 100% sure that it will be a bolt in, no surprise deal. The only thing you may have to do is swap the 98 shafts into the 94 housing. This would be only if the ABS tone ring is in a slightly diffeent location on the outer stub.
Just make sure the ABS sensors and tone rings align properly and you'll be golden.

alright thanks alot for the info, will the driveshaft be the same? or will i need to use the 94 driveshaft? thanks again

Yep. The housings are exactly identical. No issues whatsoever for ya
