sad day for america

Very sad indeed. I am still in shock! I cannot believe that people voted him back into office. He has accomplished nothing! Turned our American Dream into a nightmare. Lets just all stop working, apply for unemployment/Welfare/Foodstamps and just do whatever the &^*% we want to and lets see how long that lasts.
Sad sad sad day......4 more years.

War coming?

Why did Romney lose? I think it's pretty simple. He used to be part of the sane, socially-tolerant, center-right republicans. Then he decided to run for president and got caught up with the current outfit that is overrun with angry reactionaries, crackpots, and religious zealots. If he stuck to the policies that made him a successful politician in the first place, he most likely would've swayed more than enough voters his way. That said, is it a sad day for America? Probably not. Just look at Colorado and Washington! They're gonna have piles of tax revenue to go along with their perma-grin and doritos.

Interesting. As I understand it, gun laws are more relaxed now than before Obama took office. I mean, it's been 4 years, has anyone had their guns and ammo taken away? As a matter of fact, I remember a thread like this popping up when he got elected the first time. I notice we're all still here, with our guns, and the sweet baby jesus hasn't come to rapture the chosen ones....yet. ;)

My point exactly... The fear that the media that puts in people rather than people looking for the truth through the bs...

Too bad many people think the bs is the truth. Funny thing about the media and facts...they think there's 2 side to them. They're facts people. There is no "other side."

I'm guessing everyone is expecting a Red Dawn scenario to unfold.

What about the UN small arms treaty, haven't heard about that lately. Is it still being pushed?

The fact that he used to be part of the "sane, socially-tolerant, center-right republicans" is why he couldn't muster enough vote also. He tried to be a people pleaser, and the republican party pushed a candidate that was too moderate for strong conservatives, and also appeared too conservative to the center-lefters.

There was a movie about this once, I can't remember the name. Where it comes to a point when stupid people outnumber the smart ones.......we have arrived at the point care of the welfare/foodstamp hatchery girls. They don't deserve the name "mom".

Presidents spend their first four years trying to get reelected, their next four years they do whatever the fuck they want.

If he would have gone after guns he would have lost.

Ever hear the term "Lame Duck President"? A lame duck is one that after his initial term in office cannot get anything passed through the House/Senate because his constituants no longer need to back him since he can't be re-elected. Happens a LOT. You'd figure, when O-bummer started out in office, he had a super majority in the Senate. That should have meant he could blast right through and get things done on the Democratic agenda, but it didn't. He managed to get Obamacare passed, but not without a LOT of changes and concessions. It wasn't rubber-stamped as the administration had hoped.

In my impression, what lost the election for Romney was his 47% comment (or was it 49%?). While I agree with him on this, it was reckless for him to have made the comment knowing that he's under a microscope.
