Sammi tin top conversion?

Buy a convertible tub.

It depends on how pretty you want it to be. If you're content with running a sawzall around the tub, it's easy as hell. If you don't want to keep up with your tetanus shots, swapping tubs is easier.

Alright well I want to make it a convertible..but I want to be able to put a hardtop back on lol so I dont know if just slicing and dicing is the way to go ? maybe? I dont know lol

...and buy a tub? what do you mean ?

Based on the questions you are asking, I'm gonna say this is a 9/10 difficulty scale for you...

Alot of folks dig the tin tops. If it's in good ocndition, I'd think you'd be better off just reselling it to somebody that wants one liek than and buy yourself a softop. That will make 2 people happy w/ way less work.

i have a rust free soft top tub to trade you straight up i dont even care if the tinny is beat up a bit. dont cut up the tinny body its not worth it when you can just trade straight up

okay okay well I dont even have the sammi yet, I was just wanting the whole convertible thing but as long as I can take the doors ill I suppose ill be happy, Im really wanting that sammi down in columbia I just gotta get ahold of the guy

I say get the one you can and then do want you want with it. I like the idea of a tin-top that you could remove the top on. Tie everything together with a cage and then make the top removable like the first gen K5's. I like the idea of being different though.

So explain to me how a tip top that you can take the top off of is different from a convertable with a fiberglass hard top?
