How do you plan on driving it? You can make a 10blt stand up to 44s depending on your driving style. Cassidy Macmahan has one with Trail Gears gear set and has only exploded it a couple times in his turbo 22r moonbuggy on 4D's. Trail Gear has a lifetime warranty on the parts so its not a very big deal.
I really don't see the point in using one unless you're trying to build an extremely lightweight rig though?
I'm not very reserved when behind the wheel. It will see plenty of abuse. Reasons are converting a 2wd into 4wd and lightweight. It will also be on Toy axles. I understand everything can and will break, I just don't want to have to worry about it constantly. I'm just wanting to make sure I'm not asking to have alot of trouble out of it.
Yes, I am thinking it will hold. I used the DIY bucket from Rock 4x Fabrication, but if the 'spine' had been available back when I built mine, I would have started with that. Whatever you do, have the mounting brackets pick up as many attachment points on the case/spine as possible.
All the ones I've done the customers use the mighty cong mount and I put steel thread inserts in all the mounting holes. One of the biggest weaknesses in a sammi case is the casting around the 8 tiny little holes. Then on the back of the case there's an almost square area with 4 holes that look like they should be threaded. I drill those out an use the inserts and run a plate from that flange down to the cong crossmember. So far it's worked pretty well.
I run one behind a 5.0 and with a GOOD cradle it will hole up. The gears arnt the weak spot, the case is. I exploded one with the might Kong with a 1.3, bought a snatch from ZOR and had no problems since.
Thats the info I was needing. Looks like I'm on the hunt for a Sammy case now. I'd prefer one with 6.5's already in it so if anyone knows of one shoot the info my way.

I've got the 6.5:1 gears in my TC, and love them. First and second are so low that I usually just start out in third gear when in low range.
Something you might not know is that the high range in a Samurai TC is not 1:1 like most. It is 1.409:1, and all the low ratio gear sets for the TC also reduce the high range ratio. Figure you might need to be aware of that since you are using a non-sami motor, transmission, and axles.
I have done that side of the research. I know the Trail Gear 6.5 set has a 20% reduction in the high range. It actually works out good for me since I'll be running Toy axles and I can keep it simple and offset the cost of the case gears by running the stock 4.10's. I'll have a crawl of ~105 until I regear(5.29) then it will go up to ~136. On paper it seems like a good setup, I'll just have to see what it does once it's all together.
For those wondering this is going in a 2wd Ranger. I know just starting out with a 4wd would be easier but I have next to no options for lower case gearing with the BW1350. Also its a solid truck that runs great, is fuel injected and I have next to nothing in it.
Doing the math on the high range side puts me at turning ~3200 to run 60mph. Thats with 38's, 4.10's, 1.7 high range and .84 5th gear. Not that it will see much street time ever but it would be nice to drive it from time to time.
I will say I do know of a few mud racers running a sammi tcase behind very, very, high powered motors . . . course they are all skimmer trucks that are real light weight and blow the tires off from the line so there is no real resistance/stress to it . . .
one other thing you will probably want to do with the sammi case is get the upgraded output shaft. its only $100 but will save you from having to tear the case apart soon. running tires that big in rocks with def. destroy the stock output
