You needa give a lil more info though... are you wanting to run leafs or link susp? are you wanting to keep your factory rear or swap out both axles? are you wanting to do everything yourself with a bolt on kit or fab everything, or have someone do it for you?

My #1 piece of advice, junk the 10 bolt rear if you plan to run anything larger than 33's. An Explorer 8.8 is an easy rear to use with a D30 HP from an XJ or a LP 30 from a Wrangler. Waggy axles work well, as do Toyota axles (have to get a pass. drop t-case) Oh, leaves are an easy swap with a Wrangler axle as the perches are the same width as your frame.

Skip the Dana 30 too.

Dana 44's are just as abundant, about the same cost (mine was actually about $100 cheaper than the Dana 30 I first had in it), and mucho stronger.

What are you going to do with it? Full-time wheeler? StreetQueen? Beat it till it talks? Crawling? Mud-Bogg? All important for what you should need build-wise.

Take a trip over to http://www.zr2usa.com/mboard/index.php?showforum=17
...and hunt through these builds too...some excellent info.

Good luck!

Here's one that I help build with Matt at Independent 4x in Richmond, Virginia. We used Waggy 44 and leaf springs on the front and an Isuzu Dana 44 and springover in the rear. It was a fun build and the customer continues to enjoy this rig.
