Will an older model toyota t-case work on a Tacoma tranny so I can use a yota front axle? I got 5.29s in my axles now. I don't wanna go with a D44 becasue then I'll have to change my gears in the rear and I like the way the 5.29s pull.

We've done that before, in '03 I believe it was, we were the first ones to do it though. Marlin made an adapter to attach a minitruck t-case to a taco trans. (His was a 2.7 also, Y2K truck) We did a dual case setup with stock gears, but I suppose you could run a single case.

Budbuilt can make you the skid plate / crossmember to work perfectly with this setup, and as mentioned, Marlin makes the adapter.

You'll need a good exhaust guy to re-route your exhaust up around the case, and that 2" body lift will probably have to stay.

Yeah, that was Mike's truck that ya'll did that to wasn't it? It seemed like I remembered something like that. I didn't plan on getting rid of the body lift anyway.

Thanks

Yup..

i have been wanting to see someone cut-turn and flip a toy axle so that it still used stock shafts ad everything....but just flip it so it still used a standard third on the drivers side.

May be a option to look at instead of rerouting exhaust, body lift, etc. Should be to expensive to modify a stock housing...or i am sure brian at diamond axles could build you a nice housing that would do what i was talking about...

just ideas..

Seth

sorry to hijack but.....can't you bolt a w56 to a taco bellhousing??
