Saw Mill Re-route

Here is a link to the PDF that describes the Planned re-route. What it boils down to for those that want the tl;dr version:

1.)We loose about half a mile of trail in the effort to preserve archeological sites.

2.)The re-route will bring saw-mill out onto Rocky Mnt Loop a little further past its original exit/entrance (coming up from the Rock Garden).

3.)We will be getting a mile+ of trail with the old Big Branch Trail being re-opened next year to make up for the .5 loss on Saw Mill

Does this mean they will be reopening the Flintlock shooting range? It looks like the trail will be well clear of the path of rifle range bullets.

When the plans are made public yes.

It doesn't mean they will be re-opening the shooting range but it puts things looking better for the re-opening. The NRA's involvement is also a good sign.
