I'm in need of two 4" x 8" up to 4" x 12" timbers 18 feet long. I'm fixing to do a little work on the deck of my trailer and two of these would work really well for what I'm trying to accomplish. Does anybody know of a sawmill or where to buy two timers like this. They can be rough cut I dont care. What should I expect to pay for something like this?

I know there's a mill down the street from Harrisburg, just go down University City a ways

Chris,
I have a friend that runs a large one about an hour south of you, he can cut whatever you need...but obviously something 500yards away would be ideal

Ron is there any chance you could get me a price on 2. 4" x 7.5" x 16' ? I'd appreciate it.

Nope no excavators. I really like my trailer and how light it is so I've decided to keep it. The frame of the trailer is 4x6 angle iron, the 4" leg of the angle stands up forming the sides of the trailer. The 2x8 decking on it now lays down in the angle so it leaves a lip all the way around. My s-10 is wider than the trailer by 3" on each side so the edge of the angle iron sits right in the center of the tire. I want to replace the 2 outside boards with thicker ones that are the same height as the angle so the tire will sit on the board not the tip of the angle.

This guy did the same thing by stacking a few boards on top of each other. I don't want to do that, nor do I want to make the side extensions out of wood. Mine will be steel.
