Tell me more about the "shell" on top. Is this something the military trailers would have come with? TIA.

I've seen them before at Delk's near Ashboro. Was told it was an Air Force addition, for what purpose not sure - other than a top, as the shape is a bit odd. Seen them on Expo and lots of comments about making the trailer look like a coffin! I've thought about trying to pick one up as a starting point for a top, but too much $$$ for me at the time, and I've got less $$$ now...

Hi, I never seen a trailer with that top and have been around the Army for a long time. That being said those trailers are modified often by both military guys and civilians. I have modified some while I was in the Army so who knows who did that. If it is a military item there should be a data plate on it somewhere to identify it. If it is an Air Force modifacation it is probably to keep their lollipops out of the weather.
