So my daughters want something called a Disney Infinity 2.0 ? I guess it can connect to an Xbox One, which my son wants so I bought one of those. I've gone to three stores and no one seems to understand the overly complex system of plastic dolls, Toy Stores, starter sets and what not.... I could use a hand understanding this thing.

We bought one for my son, I think it is the older one for PS3 though. We bought him a starter kit with three figures. Basically you can get different figured and you place them on the portal, which connects to the XBox, and that allows them to play the game as that specific player.

My kids have the original for wii. I don't understand it, seems like there are 'infinite' possibilities, no real possibilities. It seems like it took them a while to understand it. My boys just make stuff and fight or blow each other up. I think they got the game plus portal and a few characters in the one package, the some more characters separately. They have Lightning McQueen, jack sparrow, Lone Ranger, and a bunch of others I can't remember offhand.

What blaze said is pretty much it. If you need more info I can have my 10 year old explain it lol. My son did say there is a toy box mode were they can build stuff and a mission mode were it's like a regular game. You missed out on the black Friday deal were it was only 37 bucks.

Pretty much been summed up. Just a game where you can play as different characters depending on which one is on the portal. It can get crazy expensive if you start buying all of the characters off the shelf. One thing to remember is the two different modes, the toybox and the adventure(or something). Toybox is like an open world where you can have different characters and build pretty much whatever you want in there and do whatever. Some characters can only be used in the toybox world and don't have their own specific more traditional games to play.

As far as I can tell, it's a genius fucking plan by Disney to part you from your money, $12 at a time. Don't forget about the $5 "power packs" you have to buy, either.

Thanks, I picked up the " Portal Pack " with the Marvel Super heros as well as Anna and Elsa, who as far as I can tell one is the redheaded step sister to an ice queen or something. All I know is Christmas gets more expensive every year.
