going to put a SM465 in front of a D300 for a wheeler. Will go novak adapter, AA isnt getting another $ of mine. I have 3x SM465's in unknown condition that are complete but 2wd versions. I have 2x D300s that I will rebuild and put behind but clock and keep pass drop. Im good on the D300 and how to twin stick it ( have done one with cables and one with levers). Clocking I understand and have done.
What I dont know is the SM465 and its third gear issues. What is the best remedy for this if your planning on a complete rebuild?. Also what tricks to rebuild and what to pay attention to? Ive rebuilt manual trans and am no stranger to that either, its just that it pays to ask the NC4x4 crowd. Also who has the best rebuild kits etc?
