-85 Toyota
-Rear 4 Link
-Leaf sprung front
-2.0 SAW Air Shocks

Need a sway bar in the back. Truck stays planted very well in slow offroad situations but has more roll than I would like at higher speeds and hard cornering.

What have you used? Homebrew or Who's universal kit? Does the length of the arm make much of a difference? Mounted in front or behind the rear axle?

Thanks in advance.

I am real happy with my currie kit. I put it on my old rig that was leaf springs in the front and a 4 link in the back. It helped a ton with body roll. I put the same kit on my buggy from day one and it works great.

Could use the Toyota torsion bar and fab up some arms and mounts with detachable end links.

I bought a couple different used bars and a set of used race car arms/bushings from muscle motorsports and tried them all, 7/8 was what worked the best for me (in the back). I don't know if they still have any or if they are even still in business? But it was half the price of a currie setup even with the extra bars. And yes arm length matters as to stiffness and travel just like you would expect.

Length of the arm makes a HUGE difference. Think leverage. Rock Equipment is a great go to. Mount with a peice of tube above frame and infront of the axle always works well.

Those are garbage, didn't you have that broke ass crap on your last buggy? Seen too many of them break, arms strip out or fall off. Same with the speedway engineering and other race car stuff. Currie is all I use anymore, I think I finally convinced PJ to do the same. Yes they cost more, but the bars don't break, arms don't have to be welded together and the splines don't strip out.

Thanks for all the input guys. After reading around a bit and what ya'll have said on here I think Ill hold off and save up for the Currie kit. It looks to have a little bit more adjustability built in than most others and has a good reputation.
