need to find a dsd transfer case that will go behind a th350 without huge problems or expense. I know there has to be something ! Its all going in a yj behind a cummins 4bt if that helps any. Don't need any fancy electronics or nuthin, just a good reliable transfer case

Wouldn't it be easier and more beneficial in the long run to go ahead and switch to Chevy 1-tons and run a 205 case? Seems you're going to wan the extra axle with that engine anyway.

It sure would! if you have a set with 2:73 ratio that your willing to donate ( insert sarcastic glance ) I've got a set of D44's with the right ratio that arent gonna cost me anything so thats a lot of the reason for this direction. the motor is staying stock so 44's should be up to the task and it unfortunately won't be wheeled often and hard, probably see more sand than rocks. I know some ford 205's are dsd but that kinda gets in the way of running a GM tranny which happens to bolt right up to the 4bt.

I figured it was something along those lines. Sounds like a fun build, though! I'd love to drop that motor in my Suburban. There are some Ford 205s that were divorced, so you'd just need a 2wd trans and an intermediate shaft, crossmember, etc. Seems like your other option would be a D-300. I'm sure AA makes an adapter and a clocking ring so you could swing it wherever you need. What do I know, though. I'm a Suzuki guy. I only keep up with passenger drop stuff! ;)

A couple of options:

-NP241 from 88 and up Chevy full size truck. Should bolt right up to a TH350. Will most likely also need an SYE kit to have a reasonable rear DS length.

-D300 with flip kit. Will require expensive adapter to bolt up to Chevy tranny plus flip kit for DSD.

Thanks guys, can always count on the NC4x4 family
