in Biscoe they are paying 8.50, me and a buddy just go around looking for junk cars and get them cheap, then take them to Biscoe. took wto old work vans and a taurus yesterday on a goose neck car hauler, had $400 in all 3, got $780 and only spent $30 in diesel!

Sold a 86 Buick Wagon a couple weeks ago, No Gas tank, Battery or Alternator, it brought $389.50
Sure would like to find more of those!
Scrap was @ $9.50 a 100 pound

i just upped my prices today to $12.50 per 100. guy brought a 85 e250 and took almost $700 bucks home. sadly enough last time i saw prices like this it dropped down to $4.50 per 100 in a matter of 2 weeks. scary stuff considering i have 600 cars i gotto get crushed.

Paid $9.50/100 at Atlantic Scrap in Kernersville a few weeks back, was $10.50 a week before that but we missed it.

Hopefully you'll be all right. We're seeing price increases on new material, too. There's a big push to get mill orders locked in.

our stainless and carbon structural shapes and pipe prices just jumped 11% and are expected to jump 12% on Feb 14, so I don't expect to see scrap going down anytime soon

As U can see, Just depends on area & compition. Price also more at schreder sites. Crushed metal still has to be schreded. My Co. uses Southern Metals, in Charlotte. We get a commerical price. Today, clean tin was $14 per 100lb.. Aluminum sideing, .65 per lb. Price gets better when U seperate different metals. Aluminum also has different grades.
