so I go pull my trail cam cards. they loaded into preview mode, then the screen blinks and everything is deleted. anybody know of a good way to recover them?

I just went through this. I downloaded EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard. Use the free trial. It happened when I Bought a new sd card reader for my cell phone. The reader corrupted my sd cards. Even after they were formatted, They would never work right. They would not work on my lap top after that either. I finally got rid of the card reader and sd cards. Use my lap top reader now and bought a new 6 pack of sd cards on Amazon.

Yes they work by recovering based on the file headers that aren't really deleted. Just the file descriptors that the file catalog uses. Unless you stored more data over the top of the old data, it's still there. There's a couple other tools around also.

the trial version only shows the data that it can find, can't do anything with it. how'd you make that work with trial version?

I was thinking the free trial let you view so many mb of data. I downloaded it last winter to view a sd card. I dont think I subscribed. Then I pulled my cards at the beginning of this season and they were all blank. I Recovered the cards then threw them away.

I used recuva once, semi effectively

I used it but my card was a goner. My understanding was they show you what they can recover with the trial version but you have to pay to get it.

I've used recuva as well, but it's been a few years since then. Worked well at getting what could be got.

Been meaning to stop by Verizon, but haven't made it. Been worried about loosing my phone, or crushing it. How do I "copy" the info that's in it now? SD card or what? Mainly all my contacts, if I were to loose my phone, I'd be in a mess getting all the numbers back!

Up-date! Stopped at a Verizion today. I person checked my Android, & a setting on my Goggle e-mail. Goggle stores my contacts, I can recover them anytime through G-Mail. As per pictures or anything else, I was told it's Extremely if not impossible to recover that, due to my "older" {?] model phone. What? It's 3 years old! I don't care, it works for me, & I was just concerned about my contacts.
