Search on the PBB?

Is it just me, or is it reallly screwy?

When I do a search, i'll get a few recent results, and then it jumps back to like 2003 with the results...

Try "Rockwell" and in the middle of the first page, it jumps back..
 
That really ticks me off on a regular basis. I don't mind paying and all but when stuff like that always happens......:flipoff:
 
... works fine for me. Searched for "rockwell". Got 200 returns. The first three pages are all from this year, then it goes to 2005.
 
Had the same problems today. A few from 2006 and then back to 2004. From what I hear part 9read more than a year) of the database was lost when the site was redone. Just a rumor though.
 
What ticks me is how they did it. They said temporary until the server upgrade was complete. Then they said until fall 2006. Now it's permanent. Pay or get lost. :fuck-you:

I bet someone has retired from all the $20 fees. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they had over 10,000 people pay that. Add in some vendors and advertising and I bet it's over $250,000 per year.
 
Vendors and ad revenue is where it's at.

But the $35k a year from paid subscriptions doesn't hurt a bit.
 
They are doing something to the search engine now. Remapping it or something like that, said it was only supposed to take a couple days. That was several days ago.
 
I don't mind giving to the cause for a good BB with good info. You know you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. But the PB does need a bull $hit filter. There is a lot of knowledge there if you can weed through the junk.
 
Well if your into building your own stuff or doing more advance level parts swapping the $20 is well worth it.. If not save your $ and just read along and copy what everyone else is doing..
