This is mild tech, but tech non the less.

I need to establish a better connection on my driver seatbelt, the light on the dash flickers on and off from time to time. It's annoying more than anything. Anybody got any tips or know the internals of a seatbelt clasp?

2002 Dodge CTD.

Staton,
It is probably the connector under the seat where power goes to the light. Typically either adjusting the connector or putting a new one on handles the problem. If it does not read the signal it automatically goes on........so it may be losing it at that connector.

I can hold the belt/clasp a certain way and the light will stay off, making me feel like it's an internal thing. I'll check to see if I can find any adjustment in the connector when I've got a little extra time.

Thanks,

Staton

if you think the problem is in the actaully seat belt and you dont want to replace the belt.....you could possible jump the wires under the seat so they always think the seat belt is connected.

Dont think that would affect anything other than the light.

Kewl, wasn't sure how far you had checked. Yep, jumper the wire and you should be good.

Thanks guys, that'll be tomorrows project. Today was tightening the front shocks all the way. Apparently the PO didn't care that the front end was loose after installing the leveling kit. A few clunks and I knew something wasn't tight. After all, I do own a jeep.
