Second gen toyota pickup rebuild

Pics from today. I got the bed put back on and the noise dampener done for the most part. I finally found the wiring problem with the engine temp sensor. Got that working again, the electric fan wired back up and running, and she's running like a champ! Feels good to get some stuff knocked out, hope to get started on a front bumper soon.

I bought the 25 sq ft box, and it came with a razor knife and a roller for like 60 bucks on Amazon. I've got enough left over to do the foot wells once I get the rust repair done in that area. If I get froggy I may order another 25 and do the doors and the roof. That brand installed good stuck well and stretched decent with the heat gun.

Got some hours in today after a callout. Got the driver side welded up. Just looking at it today I broke out the tape measure, its 3/8's plate not 1/4, I was wondering why I had to crank up my welder.

When I bought my 4runner, it had indoor carpet in it, and outdoor carpet in the bed.

... don't do that. :D

Although, outdoor carpet inside might not be aweful
 
Finished welding and threw some flat black on it. Going to figure out the front panel to tie the two sides together. And surprisingly it's not that heavy.

Not much been happening lately just been focused on the inside of the shop, but I got the holes blasted out today for the turn signals, got to probably pull the bumper back off to weld the factory tabs I cut off to mount them.

I would have probably made the front piece solid, cut out a square hole for the cable to pass through at the fair lead, and left the top of the center open for winch access. That's just me though.

I plan on closing in the front and adding a access door to the top to tie it all together. And mount the roller fairlead to the front plate. I just haven't had time to do it yet, I had planned to work on it yesterday but ended up having to work 12hrs

Got this in just have to put the last hose on and fill her up. The radiator was a "direct replacement" but I had to make a small stand off bracket to make it work. Also got the new power steering pump on with all new lines. Getting closer to being reliable.

Front bumper work, got the plate cut down and thats about it. Hope to get it burnt in tomorrow after I blow a hole out for the fairlead bolts and cable slot.
