Well as the title says, finally got to ride and drive a rzr 800 well on a trip to West Va. with some friend on dirt bikes. Now I'm thinking I might would like to sell my xj and put money toward an rzr 800s! Options?

I just wonder if I would get tired of the rzr and be upset that I sold my jeep? But I got 3 friends with utvs.

ahhh its whatever you are into man!!!! if your friends are in UTVs then its tough to be in a jeep and play!!!! hell its as much fun to build as it is to ride so you can build another one later on!!

the reason i havent gotten into the UTV thing is.....

you cant pull off the trail and drive it home. it requires a tow vehicle. if you want to run with the UTV crowd and still be able to drive it on the high way, build a sammy.

haha, the Suzuki Samurai is the original UTV, lol.

Some ppl are getting their ATVs registered to drive on the road. But you really wouldn't want to drive it far. Plus i think you'd kill a set of tires easy on the road

Yea you can get a title new with them in nc.

If you put the lights & other safety equipment on them you could get them registered and inspected I'm sure.

Most of them would run with traffic around town easily

They do in plenty of other states where ATV's are allowed on the road... Last I checked, if the title has an off road only identifier in the VIN, there is no way it is getting tagged in NC. Dmv cracked down on sending titles off and swapping them, and registering in other states when they started all the emissions testing.
Not saying it is impossible, but it's pretty close.
That being said, you could put an orange triangle on the back and keep it under 35 and probably be fine. I like sxs's but I wouldn't trade that XJ for one.

UTVs don't have titles, they have a certificate of origin and from what i understand if you want to make it road legal you go through the same stuff as if you were doing a VW sand car buggy thing. WV is kinda a exception with the Hatfield McCoy trails and all. Its not really taken seriously there.
