Isn't Cheerwine up near there? Contact the factory and let them know what you need. The probably coats them about $5-10.

My FIL works for cheerwine in Salisbury. I'll ask him but I doubt have many empty ones there. Now if you want to buy 500 full ones, no problem.

I think your best bet would be a visit to a recycling center.

I might can help. A full pallet of 2L for us is 1008 bottles, so a half pallet might not be to hard to get. Let me do some looking around the plant and see if we have a damaged pallet somewhere.
