Glad he's getting over it! Wood, trees, bushes, can have "fungi" in it, so that might be what he caught, threw scratches & any cuts.
BTW, did anyone see the boy at the Beach, that buried his legs in the sand? A common thing right? He came out with his legs all Eaten up! Open wounds, blisters, looking like 3rd degree burns! It was whatever was in that sand. Make you scared to go barefoot!
