sending unit/fuel cell question?

I'm planning on putting a fuel cell in my 87 toyota. Does anybody know if i can get a sending unit that would work with my stock fuel gauge. If not can i get an aftermarket gauge that would work with it. thanks in advance for any help!

You will have to look up the toyota specs on the ohm range for your stock sending unit and see how close it is to the new unit you want to purchase. If they are way off then your gauge wont work or read correctly. You can get after market guages for the fuel cell sending units.

Otherwise, buy a seperate fuel level gauge for whatever range your sender uses...


:edit: NM, after searching around some...it looks like toyota uses ~100-0 ohm senders which you're not going to find.
