Currently under a tornado watch and a severe thunderstorm warning. It's about to get real nasty in the Mebane area. Good luck to everyone.

That was the quickest storm I've ever been through. It's clearing out - just some rain showers right now and patchy clouds/blue sky. Gonna go check the yard but it looks like its over here and moving east.

I understand there was a Lowe's in the Raleigh area destroyed by a tornado.

Lowe's in Sanford according to WRAL, just had a gal on the phone talking about it, said the front of the store was blown out and the roof peeled back.

guess we'll wait for pix.

waiting for what coming thru JoCo, currently in Benson area

Just got internet back up. Tore through Raleigh about an hour ago. Some big trees down, lots of power out in different areas and some flooding in low spots. Also saw two cars, now submarines, stranded under the R/R tracks on Hillsborough Street.

Hope everyone comes out ok in this storm.

My damage

It wasn't to bad but it was really windy this morning. My poor dart swinger took a beating. Thanks mikey1369 & his buddy that helped me set the tree top off. The bad part was we were standing there talking when the tree fell across the back of my building. Hope no one got hurt or had any damage. Well I've got to pick-up my order of hot wings and 6 pack of

Everything and everybody OK for me. I slept right through it all...was up all night cooking pigmeat (600lbs) and finally crashed about 2pm. Knew it was coming, but didn't hear a thing. My wife says my cell phone was ringing off the hook, didn't hear it at all, either. I guess I was a bit tired.

Funnay from the scanner:

About 5pm:

Dispatch: Truck 75, we have a report of four houses blown over at such-and-such address. (trailer park)

Truck 75: Yeah, I reckon we can go look at it.

I take back everything I've ever said about Alabama.
