SFWDA - 2010 Dixie Run - October 1-3

The Southern Four Wheel Drive Association has announced the date for the 2010 edition of the "Dixie Run". The weekend of October 1 - 3, 2010 will see the oldest and longest running off-road event on the East Coast return to Golden Mountain Park near Cookeville, Tennessee.

This will be the second straight year the event has been staged at Golden Mountain Park after it was moved from the recently closed Nantahala Forest Tellico OHV area.

Golden Mountain Park is a strong supporter of SFWDA's "Rescue Tellico" effort and is excited about once again having everyone up to have a great time and see what this park has to offer.

Lots of folks like to plan ahead. For example, most federal workers have to put in for 2010 vacation by 12-31-09! Also, many clubs plan their ride schedule in advance and it helps avoid schedule conflicts between events if dates are put out ASAP!

Anyone got an address for directions, I found the website, But it doesn't list it anywhere I can find. There are directions to there listed but not from anywhere in NC.

Edit: Far as I found its in Sparta TN, Is that correct?

This is about a 6.5 hour drive from Greensboro, NC but Golden Mountain is a GREAT venue for trail riding and has some serious obstacles to boot! If you have never been to Golden Mountain OHV, I highly recommend that you put it on your OHV bucket list!

its been about 8 years since i have attended a divie run, how much do they enforce the onboard use of a spare tire? i'm sure there are a good number of buggies attending that typically dont carry one. anyone have any input on this?
